Suni Hi, i'm Michael. I'm a 20 year old graphic designer attending the Savannah College of Art and Design. I produce electronic music under the name Good OJ, design stuff, and ride bikes. I like dogs, gradients, and GIFs. Also I am straight, sorry.

this album i’ve been workin on,

has been a big personal milestone for me.

I mean, its not even done yet. I still have a song I can’t quite figure out how to finish off, and the unmastered files have to be sent off to my buddy to be mastered by tomorrow. But even if a soul doesn’t listen to it once it’s been put out there, or if the mastered files sound shitty, I will have still made an album by myself, and I worked hard on it, and thats pretty cool.

The last time I did something this artistically taxing was when I did my AP painting concentration in highschool.

Either way, this really marks my first step into treating my music seriously. I still have soooo far to go to get where I want to be creatively, but im excited to push myself even harder in the next couple years, musically, as well as artistically

Anonymous asked:

hey! so i'm a senior in high school and i can't decide whether or not to go to college. I mean I just wanna be a producer/dj but my family and others always say to go. i always hated school and just wanna do my own thing but i don't know. you didn't go right? can you give me some advice on this, thanks :)

Yeah, i didnt go.. and it’s really hard to say man. It’s a gamble. I think it really depends on how driven you are. Before i even decided that i wasnt going to go to school i kinda had a following for my music so i knew i could somewhat support myself. I also looked at it in a way where if i spent 4 years working just as hard as a student in college would then i cant go wrong right? In those 4 years i would focus on my craft, marketing, getting gigs, and selling beats(to help me survive). It’s all on you man.. Of course you want to do what makes you happy but you also have to remember it depends how bad you want it. I truly believe that if i can do it, anyone can.. because i seriously had no other options lol.
